Today I am working on creating a blog that I can hopefully use as a tool to share the benefits of making dreams a reality. I am an independent business owner who left my very cushy, high end medical device jobs with all the benefits of the corporate world (company car, large monthly bonus, health benefits, those great travel points you get when you fly everywhere, etc.) to become my own boss. I wanted to be “the CEO of me.” But that also meant, no more corporate car and monthly bonus programs and most importantly, no more security in knowing what my next pay check was going to be and when it would arrive! It wasn’t easy and it was surely scary being a middle aged woman, competing with some very well seasoned consultants in my field. I had the support of an amazing business partner Laura Jackson, and let me tell you, there were days we thought, maybe we should throw in the towel. But we did not. Today I am an the CEO of two companies and I AM THE BOSS OF ME!
This picture is a recent photo of a great personal accomplishment. I was not only a ‘guest speaker’ but my company was hired to coordinate the speakers and content for an event in India for Johnson & Johnson. We helped launch the first Johnson & Johnson India University, which was a meeting specifically dedicated to helping doctors with their current cataract and vision correction business. It was dedicated to implementing efficiencies, expanding on the patient experience, understanding marketing but most importantly how to implement best medical practices for patients. Yes the company that I used to work for, actually hired my company to launch this program. Dreams do become a reality!
I am here to tell you, you can do it! If you are thinking about going out on your own, stay tuned for more tips and ideas. Learn about my second business Rodan + Fields and how it has given me freedom to work from anywhere and change lives. Learn about tips on how to network and hear from my many colleagues who have also branched out on their own. Let us be your inspiration to fulfill your dreams! Our first recommendation….get the book “Get Over Your Damn Self”-The no BS blueprint to building a life changing business!
Christine Lapointe was born and raised in New England and is a graduate of The University of California at Riverside. Prior to owning her consulting company Aesthetics 360 , her experience in the medical field began in the elective surgery industry in 1996 with Summit Vision Centers. Christine has since gained national and international recognition as a consultant, business owner, public speaker and published author. Christine co-founded her consulting company aesthetics 360 in 2009 with her business partner Laura Jackson. This was not her first company as she was successfully consulting in 1998 prior to working in the medical device world. Her first company was 'inplainview consulting.' Christine's marketing and practice development skills are acknowledged globally. Christine continues to work as a consultant nationally and internationally for private practices, medical device companies and nationally acclaimed academic institutions in both the Vision Correction and Aesthetic industries. Her knowledge is not limited to marketing and practice development. She has extensive experience in staff training and motivation, sales counseling techniques, marketing strategies, web strategies, as well as public relations and outreach.
Simultaneously, Christine runs another business as an Independent Consultant for Rodan+Fields. These are the doctors who created proactiv, and now have a complete anti aging skin care line for all types of skin. This company has allowed Christine the ability to work from anywhere and help other people change their lives and outlook on network marketing.
Christine is an avid supporter of people who are choosing to venture out into business for themselves. She understands the challenges and the courage it takes to turn a dream into reality. Being an entrepreneur at heart, Christine began a second business as a Rodan + Fields Independent consultant in 2017 and her vision is to retire in two years from the income she generates with this company. Looking at ways to bring additional and renewable income to her life became a passion and this company was one of her top five that peeked her interest. Now that being able to live on income generated by being 'her own boss' has become a reality, Christine is looking for many ways to share her experiences with those people who may be on the edge of working for themselves. From practice management consulting to selling amazing skin care products, Christine's goals continue to be her own boss and help others do the same. You can learn more about Christine by visiting both of her websites: www.aesthetics360.com and clapointe.myrandf.com. Christine’s follow through actions have gained her trust and credibility with medical device companies, highly acclaimed practices, Academic Institutions and most importantly her friends. She is seen as a resource for physicians and staff for validation and recommendations in all aspects of practice building. And she is seen as an inspiration to those friends and colleagues who have wanted to take that leap of faith and 'be their own boss.' This blog will be focused on ways to find the right company to partner with, tips on how to grow your team and of course about all the amazing advantages Rodan + Fields is bringing to the table-from product launches, to health tips to growing your own business-we welcome you to hang out here!
In her spare time Christine volunteers in her community as a Board Member to the COA (Council on Aging in Monson, MA) and enjoys spending time at home with her husband of 25 years, Big G, along with their five dogs and four birds. A passionate animal lover, Christine is involved in animal rescue programs and continues to find ways to educate the public on the social and health benefits of adopting pets and the responsibility pet owners have to their animals. Christine resides in both MA and FL and continues to be open to new businesses and entrepreneurial ventures.
